Project Description

Previously used as a surface parking lot for El Cerrito BART Station, the 6-story Mayfair development on a city-owned block brings 156 new housing units to a long-neglected block near the BART. The flagship project is a part of the City of El Cerrito’s campaign to increase density and produce more housing along San Pablo as part of their Specific Plan adopted in 2014. As the sole Project Manager, I led a five-person administrative team and directed a field crew of over 100 construction professionals. Additionally, the project was a large-scale prefabricated mixed-use development that incorporated advanced energy-efficient technologies, automated parking systems, and a high-impact public art installation.
